It is a "Fake Book", so it cracks me up that people don't get that.
If you want to wow some friends and have a little sing-a-long then this is the book for you.
With that being said, I think it includes a varied selection of songs from current hits from Sarah McLachlan's "I Will Remember You" to classic standards like Hoagy Carmichael's "Stardust" (which has been played and sung by almost everyone from Englebert to Willie Nelson).
And the great thing about Fake Books is that you can start improvising and filling in your own broken chords, etc. to add spice.
Which leads me to why I can't give this book 5 stars because in several songs the author strays from the actual song melody (and I don't mean key signature). For example, what is that first four measures that opens "Imagine"??? C'mon, Scott, that's not the opening melody John Lennon wrote. The melody in those first four measures aren't heard anywhere in the real "Imagine". I don't mind faking it, but let's stick to faking the real thing.Get more detail about Scott The Piano Guy's Favorite Piano Fake Book.
