I ordered this stand for my wife's digital piano. As the piano weighs about 25 lbs. and the stand is rated for hundreds of pounds, this stand seems like overkill. The stand seems a better design and sturdier than the Yamaha Z stand for just a few dollars more. I am sure the Yamaha stand would have been fine for my wife's P-85. I do not regret this purchase as both stands were almost identical in price. If she wants, my wife could add a second keyboard to this stand with the appropriate bracket and never worry about it. The stand that arrived at our house has an extra piece of metal (compared to the one pictured) connecting the two horizontal pieces, making it even stronger.
