This is a fine music stand, however, if you are buying it because it is wood...dont! This is a wood simulated (and not a good one)paper veneer. The shelf is installed with screws that are too big and you can see the bulge in the material where they were installed. No problem for me because I will make my own wood platform and switch them out. I have the metal one and this one. Since this was a few bucks cheaper I bought it thinking the wood would be OK..its cheap and looks cheap. Unless you are a woodworker and want to make your own shelf..dont buy this.
