Buying Complete Preludes, Nocturnes and Waltzes: 26 Preludes, 21 Nocturnes, 19 Waltzes for Piano (Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics)

Oh, dear - Schirmer? I know it's big and has a lot of music, but serious pianists never buy Schirmer. Ever. When I was teaching, I never allowed my students to purchase Schirmer. Henle Urtext is the best and for something as important as learning to play Chopin, I strongly recommend investing in Henle Urtext.

I know Henle is expensive, but if one is a serious pianist and certainly if one is studying music in college, Schirmer editions can actually interfere with their learning to play and interpret Chopin properly. Henle is best - if you feel you just can't afford it, get Kalmus. But never Schirmer.Get more detail about Complete Preludes, Nocturnes and Waltzes: 26 Preludes, 21 Nocturnes, 19 Waltzes for Piano (Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics).
